For 31 days in August, reproductive rights, health, and justice groups across the U.S. joined together to call on Congress to stop the attacks on equal access to safe, legal, affordable reproductive health care. Thousands took action, submitting stories and photos, signing petitions, watching videos, and much more. And you can still act below.
Time To Act

Time To Act

Extremist politicians sank to new lows this year in their relentless efforts to deny women’s their fundamental reproductive rights. Watch this video, which makes it clear that it’s time for Congress to Draw the Line against attacks on women’s fundamental rights.

Other Actions You Can Take This August

We Won’t Be Fooled

Extremist politicians describe sex-selective abortion bans as promoting women’s equality, but that’s just not true. Really, they’re chipping away at women’s reproductive rights and encouraging racial profiling.

Join the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum in telling lawmakers to oppose these underhanded abortion bans!

Let Science Rule

Extremist politicians continue to pass state restrictions on medication abortion that have nothing to do with safety and everything to do with denying a woman the reproductive health care to which she has every right.

Stand with the National Women’s Health Network and fight back.

Abortion Matters

Feminist Majority Foundation is gathering personal blogs to illustrate why the federal government should take greater action to protect women’s access to abortion.

Abortion Bans Hurt Women

All women need access to the full range of reproductive health care, including abortion. Bans on abortion at 20 weeks threaten the health and well-being of women and their families.

Tell your Senator to listen to medical experts and oppose any 20-week abortion ban.

Fix the Injustice

It's bad enough that politicians unjustly withhold abortion coverage from civil servants except in narrow circumstances. But even more egregiously, since 1979 Peace Corps volunteers have been denied the abortion coverage available to other federal workers, risking volunteers' health and eroding their rights.

Urge Congress to advance the Peace Corps Equity Act.

End the Attacks

In the last two years we've experienced the highest number of state-level attacks on women's reproductive health ever. Tactics used by opponents are only getting worse - they mock women, tack restrictions onto unrelated bills and pass them in special secret, last-minute sessions. This must stop.

Tell Lawmakers to End the Attacks!

End the Silence

For too many women, cultural stigma and government restrictions silence our experiences and create barriers that endanger our lives. We must speak up: for ourselves and for all of the women and families who have been harmed because safe abortion care was too difficult to obtain or outright denied.

Share your story today.

Get Loud. Stay Loud.

Reproductive health restrictions disguised as a motorcycle safety bill? A three hour course in adoption before having an abortion? No rape exceptions because rape kits get a woman "cleaned out"? ENOUGH.

Take the A is For action and send them a video telling the world why you're fed up and refuse to be silenced.

Health Care in Our Hands

The FDA finally set emergency contraception free. As of August 1, a woman should be able to go into any drug store in the U.S. and get EC. Take the Reproductive Health Technologies Project's action and send a message to all governments that this is essential health care.
